12/26/2007 Alex got a new kite for Christmas and was itching to fly it. The day was windy today - so he got his wish! We rode bikes to a local park and had a blast. A scientific project was to lash my cell phone to the kite and launch it in video mode! It went a good 30 feet in the air before I got nervous and reeled it back down! Watch the video to the left. It was a great bit of fun! The stills and video here is all from the phone. Yes, the phone survived re-entry into atmosphere! |
